About the event
In a world where our societies are increasingly diverse and our learners face multifaceted and intersectional challenges, the role of the educator must evolve to become more responsive and learner-centered. This workshop seeks to address this by focusing on the critical need for systems, in and beyond our practice, that foster learner agency.
The emphasis on co-creating spaces where learners feel heard—and where educators develop the skills to actively listen—calls for a paradigm shift in how educational structures are designed. This approach not only improves learner outcomes but also tackles 21st-century challenges such as social inequality, inclusion, and digital literacy. By fostering a community-based approach where educators and learners collaborate on policy and practice, the workshop promotes a transformation that aligns with the global movement for more democratic, accessible, and equitable education systems.
