About the event
In view of the recently launched Union of Skills (UoS), the discourse of the EU currently centers on competitiveness and employability, while the European Education Area (EEA) and its Europe on the Move initiative highlight the need for education that nurtures inclusion and active citizenship. These policy initiatives are together driving the process of internationalisation of schools, with learning mobility as a key tool. Long-term Pupil Mobility uniquely achieves both the development of skills and democratic values.
Secondary schools are more and more international, taking part in Erasmus+ projects, organising eTwinning online exchanges, having students - inbound and outbound- spending a period abroad through different funded and private programmes, and sending teachers on a learning mobility. However, is this all part of an internationalisation strategy including all types of learning mobilities, looking at their specific contribution?
Let's ensure the future Erasmus+ programme will have the adequate funding for making schools…
