About the event

In European Higher education, Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation Partnerships are an essential funding source, fostering bottom-up initiatives aiming to improve internationalisation, inclusion, sustainability, and the digitalisation of higher education.

Yet the funding decreases since the beginning of the current programme period in 2021, compounded with intensified competition, make it increasingly challenging for the educational sector to access these opportunities, especially for decentralised calls across the programme countries.

This session will allow us to critically reflect through a “fishbowl” format on the changing role that Cooperation Partnerships play in European higher education. Given that such partnerships were ranked as cost-effective in the Erasmus+ programme review, we will explore how trends have evolved over the past few years and how the sector can respond.

The session will continue with a discussion among the universities, NGO’s, and policy-makers about the short, medium and long-term impact and added value of Cooperation Partnerships for education institutions…
