About the event
International student mobility is believed to enhance students’ professional growth while contributing to national economic development by creating a skilled workforce. However, fragmented employment and education policies can prevent international graduates from utilising their skills in labour markets. How can the Union of Skills work for learners, ensuring they stay at the heart of policies?
This session will tackle how Erasmus+ benefits participants, reflecting on their career outcomes as well as their academic and personal development. We will reflect on how Erasmus+ links to Youth Employment instruments that are active on European, National and Regional levels and how we can ensure that these instruments are linked successfully. We will conclude with a reflection on the shift in focus on skills and employability, and the impact this might have for other aims of the Erasmus programme, such as European Cohesion and Civic Engagement.
