About the event

Co-organised by the European Parents' Association (EPA) and the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA), this interactive policy debate explores the validation and recognition of non-formal and informal skills acquired through parenting and broader adult learning.

Drawing on insights from the GrowWell project alongside EAEA’s expertise in adult learning pathways, the workshop focuses on upskilling parents and caregivers to support socio-emotional learning (SEL), nurture emotional well-being, and actively combat cyber-violence and online risks. Crucially, the session addresses structural gender imbalances in competence recognition, aiming to elevate traditionally invisible caregiving and life skills within European lifelong learning frameworks.
