Between 6 and 9 June 2024, citizens of the European Union will engage in the European Elections which determine the direction of the EU for the upcoming five years.


The EU Elections represent a significant moment for citizens to strengthen democracy and shape the future of the EU and their lives, therefore, the EU has made available different resources to stay up to date with the process.

  • EU citizens have the flexibility to vote either in their home country or their country of residence, though registration with local authorities may be necessary. Voting will span three days, from June 6 to 9 June, to accommodate the differing voting schedules of EU member states. For guidance, the European Parliament has a dedicated website.
