Founded in 1963, the FEDE gathers more than 400 private higher education and vocational training establishments in 39 countries mainly in Europe. It is an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) specialised in education driving force in the creation of a common area of higher education on an international scale. Recognised by several international organisations (Council of Europe, UNESCO, ECOSOC, OIF) and sectoral associations, the FEDE promotes a model of progress for education.


Priorities 


Promoting access to education and lifelong learning for all, protecting the right to private education, and supporting intercultural dialogue;

Bringing together independent educational institutions in view to create a unified model of European higher education; 

Encouraging mobility and exchanges as well as fostering authentic European citizenship; 

Defending and promoting European values: tolerance, openness to others, defence of human rights, solidarity, democracy and rule of law.

Projects


Creating innovative pedagogical contents on issues of interest (ecological transition, importance of history teaching, fight against corruption, etc.); 

Promoting the European Commission’s Pact for Skills through the signing of Memorandums of understanding (MoU) with European and national sectoral associations; 

From 2023 to 2027, participating in the Erasmus+ EduLEAD project to gather and disseminate best practices on Educational Leadership in Europe.
